Keeper's Cottage

A replica of the former Gamekeeper's cottage in Warwickshire.  Built to a scale of 1/12, this house was commissioned by a customer who was brought up in the actual building.

Design was carried out using photographs, a painting and the customer's own sketches. Discrepancies between the sketches and the photographs could only be resolved by looking at the original building.  However this was no longer easily accessible and was guarded by a pair of fierce Alsatian guard-dogs.  The solution was to stand on a wall some half-mile away and take photographs through a long telephoto lens.

The interior is fully detailed, with planked and polished floors, skirting boards, picture rails and doors.  The gamekeeper's gun cupboard is also included.  Lighting is fitted.  The small open structure to the left is the dog kennels.  The front opens in four sections to give access to the interior.
