Brickwork. Vacuum-formed white styrene sheets, in English bond (3 rows of stretchers*, 1 row of headers*) or plain bond. Attach with contact adhesive and paint with emulsion or enamels. Surprisingly realistic when weathered with artists' oil pastels and sealed. (* stretchers are 'lengthwise' bricks; headers are 'end on' bricks, approx 1/3rd of a brick length).

Rainwater Goods - guttering, drainpipes and fittings
We now have a range of 1/12 scale guttering, drainpipes and drainpipe fittings to add that extra touch of authenticity to your dollshouse.
The guttering is ogee-section and is in white vacuum-formed styrene, resulting in a gutter with scale thickness that does not look oversized. The guttering is supplied as 8 lengths (300mm / 12") of guttering, 6 end closures (LH and RH), 2 inside right-angled joints and 2 outside right-angled joints. The guttering has to be cut from the moulding sheet with a craft knife and scissors; the various components can be joined with polystyrene cement and made up into any length or configuration.
Drainpipes, in black ABS plastic, are available in 2 sizes - 6mm (1/4") and 8mm (5/16") and 25.5cm (10") long. These correspond to 3" and 3.75" diameter full-size drainpipes. Lengths of drainpipe may be joined with the "drainpipe collars" which slip over the drainpipe.
Drainpipe fittings, as white metal castings, are also available in 2 sizes, corresponding to the 6mm (1/4") and 8mm (5/16") drainpipes. Fittings available are: drainpipe collars, downspouts, and S-bends for connection to overhanging gutters. The S-bends are available either in 'fixed collar' version, with a collar-and-lug at one end and a collar at the other; or 'plain' version, with a plain collar at one end only and plain pipe at the other - particularly useful if there is only a small overhang as the S-bend can be aligned at an angle to the wall and used in conjunction with a separate collar.
